While the main focus of Stuart’s practice is in the areas of labor and employment law, Stuart also advises and represents political candidates in election law and campaign finance law matters, has served as treasurer to candidate committees, and has litigated election law disputes before the New York State Board of Elections, as well as in court. Earlier in his career, Stuart practiced criminal defense law, first as an attorney at the Legal Aid Society, and then in private practice. He continues to defend individuals charged with crimes, including union members facing criminal charges arising out of on-the-job activity.
